River Rafting is one of the most awesome and heart pumping occurrence that one must always give it a try. It is very unusual and scary at times. But depends on how a person perceives the whole concept. Adventurous people can very well go ahead and try out these sports. There are also provisions if one wants
to take part in River Rafting Competitions or if one wants to go in for longer rafting. It is all safe and is done under strict supervision.
A normal and the shortest rafting trip would last for around 10-12 kms. One has to drive all the way to Brahmpuri and then take a boat from there. On your trip down the river you have a chance to witness the entire Rishikesh in one go. U get to see the Laxman Jhula, various holy temples and ashrams, and numerous ghats where people take a dip in the holy water and many prayers are also offered.
The best season for river rafting is all based on the flow of water and the volume of water. If river is running too fast and flow of water is strong then river rafting is prohibited to prevent any mishaps. The most suitable months are September-November and March-April. Rest of the months are kept generally for river camping which is an exciting experience all together.
Day 01 :
Afternoon Arrive Rishikesh.
Transfer to Camp. After Welcome drink free time to explore the area. Evening tea. Afternoon jungle trek to the water fall. Explore the area and trace your steps back to camp. Beach Volley ball. Evening campfire ,BBQ and dinner . Overnight camp.
Day 02 :
Morning Tea. Yoga & relaxation class. After breakfast drive to Shivpuri to Start rafting from Shivpuri to Rishkesh. Today we hit some of the most exciting rapids on the Ganga i.e Return to Sender, Roller Coaster, Golf Course & Club house. Lunch at Camp. After lunch and beach volley match with the staff we raft down hit Initiation, Double Trouble, Hilton & terminator. One can try body surfing and cliff jump. In the later part we float past temples and ashrams and Ghats enjoying the river bank life along the Ganga. Arrive Rishikesh and drive back to the camp. Use of rock climbing area . One can try Burma Bridge, river crossing and rappelling. After dark campfire, BBQ, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03 :
Morning tea. After breakfast drive to Marine drive . Today we raft down from Marine drive to Shivpuri. We hit Black money, Cross fire, Three Blind mice and good morning rapids. Arrive Shivpuri and drive to camp. Lunch. Tour terminates after lunch. Depending on the movement we can also raft down to the camp hitting the Roller coaster, golf course once again.
